Road to Quba.
Griz & Galakhudat Hiking Tour usually starts at 07:30 AM with picking guests up from their location within Baku. It takes about 2 hours to get to Quba rayon.
From there we will go on the 1,5 hours long road by Lada Niva and UAZ cars to Qriz village.

Road to Griz Village.
Griz is one of the most hard to reach villages in Shahdag region. Locals usually earn living by carpet making, keeping animals and grazing them. In the past, Griz was a fortress, but now only the ruins remain from the original fortress.

Lunch Break.
After such a long journey local family will host you, and you will have lunch prepared with traditional Caucasian mountain recipe. All products used in preparation of the food is locally and organically grown.

Hike to Galakhudat Village.
After the lunch we start our 10 km long hike to Galakhudat village. You will see beautiful views of the Caucasus Mountains all along this way. There are many places where you would like to stop and take some pictures. Moreover, on the way you will see fascinating Griz waterfall, which is completely frozen in winter season and creates a fairytale like view.


The End of the Tour.
We will start our journey to Baku from Galaxudat village. Approximately at 21:00 our driver will drop you off to your location in the city center of Baku.
